In the history of India, until the first century AD, there were no sculptures or paintings of Buddha. In the Mahabodhi Temple of Buddha Gaya built in the era of Asoka (272-222 BC), although many sculpture patterns and Buddha seats can be seen, no Buddha image can be seen on the Buddha seat. From here, we can see that the Buddhist believers at that time also followed the instructions of Sakyamuni and did not worship idols.
